Wtd:CQ lowering springs/maybe ABY non A/C std springs?

just keeping an eye out. car has koni suspension but needs lowering springs. Kit has recommended ABY non A/C springs, which might lower it about 20mm. Ideally I'd like to go down to 40mm though. And I'd prefer to stay away from H&Rs.

    cheers

The rears I have from my S2 do lower about 40 mm, if I had to guess I'd say they were Koni but I can't be 100% sure, it's the front's I have spare that are stock S2.

Their not as harsh as H&R's and don't make the car sit quite so low, H&R's sit very low on the back.

You can have the rears for £30, so it's just a case of finding some fronts.

I can dig a pic out latter of how they make the car sit and the springs themselves.

awesome. add them to my tab
2 down, 2 to go. so maybe Koni's.. maybe something else. whatever lowers around 40mm and doesn't make it handle like a fat chick on a bike.

        Hi,
If it helps, I can get you these brand new for £105.00 - http://www.venommotorsport.com/produ...ension/SU8313/

This website mentions 1 year warranty, but Cobra actually offer lifetime on their springs. They are also able to alter the ride height per spring for a small cost. I deal with Cobra directly, so if this option appeals to you then feel free to contact me.

        Thanks

            Hi,
yes that model number is specifically for coupe quattro 2.3 20v.
I have these springs on my cabrio and they are very good in my opinion. Doesn't feel harsh, rides like standard but corners well!

Jeez, I must be blind. It says quattro right there! haha.
Do you know what they would charge to make the front and back a little lower? Looks like a great offer

I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be about £10-15 per spring. I can call them tomorrow if you like?

                  I'd really appreciate it, thanks
I'm just about to post to ask what the masses think the ideal height is. I've been without a coupe for about 5 years now (I've had around 13 previously I think. Some I fixed and some I dismantled). But I haven't lowered a CQ20v so I'm not sure how much I should go down. maybe the 30/25mm would be just fine. or maybe i'll grumble and want it lower instantly
