1999 audi a4 tdi 5 speed box needed

[Monkeymagic]

My brothers old b5 a4 has got synchro ring problems. I'm after an een code ideally but guess most 5 speeds will fit. Has anyone got one and how much?? Thanks in advance steven

Of its 01e not hard to change them. ..

To change what? The synchro rings? It's just that my bros has a limited budget so a swap may be cheaper/quicker

Yep the syncros. My experience of used gearboxes isn't good. Maybe better to fix your own.

Which was my suggestion. The box is good just has 2nd gear crunch.
