they might be, never checked, but the outside diameter of the shaft is different

They match the RS2? That's at least slightly more places to find them. Maybe daft question but is it something that can be remanufactured?

Is the S2 front inner a 431498103CX? If so are any of these usable assuming the main shafts are fine?

FWD Coupe 89 manual transmission with 7A engine and RS2.
