So you did not get the one piece headlamps in your country ? but 600 euro's (around £500) is quite cheap for any B4 quattro these days, lots of useful parts there.

Yes we did, not standard on the 2.3, it was on the V6 models though. The 5 pot makes this car very interesting for a swap.
