As before - have replaced O/S unit with unit sourced some months ago - too slow though as other one went to holland or Norway somewhere - but managed to get through MOT with replacing the O/S. N/S now rattles just as the O/S.
Other side requires to be replaced - 8A0131089DX I believe.
If its just a rattle - A swift sharp dent with a copper mallet may stop it. Listen where the rattle is and tap there. Done it many times on my Landrover - However and Audi Cat is probably a bit tougher than my Discovery
Afraid its not just a rattle - started off with the rattle in the O/S unit - then the MOT failure was partly cured by replacing the unit - after a bit of sculdugery. The N/S is now rattling and although the power has perked up due to one cat change it was agreed between my mechanic and myself that the N/s unit is the last piece of the jigsaw to restore full power and ease the problem with passing MOTs.
Give it till end of month - if I cannot find S/H oem unit I will get one fabricated.
