LHD doesn't bother me but I'm after something complete.
Plan is to run a B3 quattro saloon as a hack with whatever engine it comes with until I get shot of my VW's and excess spares then transplant all the nice mechanical parts from my S2 including the 3B engine....well a 3B engine I have two good complete engines along with most the parts required to build a third. And interseting selection of KKK turbos which is growing.
Got units ranging from stock K24's upto a massive K36 which is too big for anything less than a V8.
I'd greatly preffer a saloon as it's a better chassis than the Coupe, plus the widscreen can be replaced properly without calling NASA. I HATE leaks!

That B4 looks nice but I'd much rather a B3.

the b4 would have the better handling/gripping rear end over the b3 but the b3 you can use your stuff on itComment

That's actually tricky one IMO, B3's have a rear bulkhead making the shell much stiffer while still being lighter, though B4's undoubtably have more advanced suspension on the back.
As you say all my S2 stuff will fit a B3 and I have coilovers and all sorts of other parts that will go straight on.
Plus the B3 is even more stealth.
I had 2.0 base model as well as 16V that both would have been perfect a few year's back but scrapped them as they were tatty and worth more in bit's and weight than as a whole. Time's have changed though and I'm reallly kicking myself.

I'm not in a massive hurry, though I guess my ideal car woud be a 20V 90Q, much better spec to start with, no welding in engine mounts and the head, cams and sump are much use to a turbo car owner.
The other option is to go heavy weight and use a C4....which is tempting but I don't have any spares wherras I have tons of B3 stuff.
As I've said I'm not in a hurry, I have my LHD Corrado G60 on the road for the time being, which I love but have decided I'm an Audi as oppposed to a VW man.

I know sods law I'd up with a C4, couldn't turn it down though for £500. Not long got back from picking it up, fantastic to drive and no slouch with 193PS, it dosn't need anything other than the exhaust sorting. So nice to drive, reallly refinded, it'll make a great replacment for the S2 for now.
I'll find a B3 saloon sometime.
