Cylinder head wanted

I am after a 20V head compatible with the ABY S2 engine. I need something to fettle and fit with decent valve gear. I don't want to use my own but have something that I can take my time to perfect and then swap it with the original over a weekend.

Has anyone got one? Does anyone know of one? What else would be a straight swap for the S2 head casting so that I don't limit my options at the breakers yards?

Don't have an extra but to let you know: all these are ok for you: 3B, ABY, AAN, RR, ADU
And possibly the N/A 7A and NM too but they use different exhaust valves and cams.

Thanks for the info. Is the list of heads which are unsuitable, a shorter one? Are there particular castings to avoid? I will be completely re-building the head with larger, lighter valves and designing it to avoid valve bounce at over 9000 rpm. Camshafts, too, will be selected for appropriate units ie RS2 ex or 7A ex, entirely aftermarket, stock intake or an alternative. I want to build the ultimate head for the S2 so I want to know if there are ones to avoid. I remember when tuning minis it was important to get the right casting...and there were many!! I still have a 12G295 head (one of the best, rarest) under my desk at work if any avid mini fans are out there want one :wacked: !!

I think the RR,7A and 3B castings are missing the mounting point for the camshaft hall sensor (not a big problem), Paul N, I think was getting a 7A head from Mihnea, Maybe he can confirm? Also check the lists on Yahoos 20 valve Kruemmer site as there are a few threads on there with regards to different head suitability, combustion chamber volumes, water ways and manifolds e.t.c.

Thanks Mark. It was the differences and incompabilities I was after. The heads to definately avoid due to gross mis-maches is the biggie for me. Modding the head for mounting missing hardware is less of an issue as it will be subject to lots of machining anyway to increase valve sizes and fit appropriate lifters and seals.....
