  • Electric window relay

Guys, I need a electric window relay. My passenger window goes down but doesnt go back up again

I was told by my mechanic to go for a second hand relay cuz they are quite expensive and if the problem isnt down to the relay it'll be a waste of money.

    Cheers folks

Since your in Laaaaaaandaaaaaaaan town, maybe you could ask to visit one of the many members down there and test their relay on your car before you buy one?

If not ask Sal as usual!

Lol nah mate, you've probably had a lot on your mind.

Dan_B, MartinJS, Rob_W, S2avant09m spring to mind as usual suspects.

Yup. I've been in contact with Tim. He lives round the corner from me.

Oh, and one more question... where exactly can I find the passenger side relay??? And what's the possibilty that this could be the thing that causes the window to go down and not back up??? (sorry, that was 2 questions werent it!)

              Cheers again Jamo.

(I'm embarassed to admit that I spent ages on Saturday looking for the relay under the hood... in a storm of hail stones!!!)

                        I'm sure it's 3 x 8mm bolts on mine IIRC.

I am in "London" during the week, and I have a spare ( resoldered ) relay.

Firstly, I would remove the relay and open it to check for broken solder joins. If no luck then contact me if you are interested. I will check in the meantime how much I paid for my replacement, James.

                            Oh fook

Guys, I'm totally and utterly useless when it comes to any kind of DIY - I know women who are better DIY'ers than me Once I changed a fuse in my mums electric tin opener - I plugged it in to check it worked... and almost electrocuted myself

What tool will I need to remove these bolts?
