what do people use on these so far?

i managed to hook up the switch today and made a more aggressive ignition retard map to allow for 95 octane fuel to run without problems. I also reduced the boost to 1.4bar instead of 2.

it looks very good and it can switch on the fly as well! (not that i will be needing to do so though, but good to know that it can be done)

The only reason I can come up with, is to have one config for race fuel and other for normal fuel.
Or for example E85 / Normal fuel switch.

It's good for water/methanol injection cars also. As known, with W/M injection you can advance the igniton pretty much... but when something fails and there is no real injection, the engine is going to fail for shore. Thatswhy is it good to use table switch, you have to make one tabel with W/M and other without.

i dont like to use methanol for improvement in power but only for reduction in IATs. so i use the ign.retard table that VEMS has to accomodate for that only, rather than make a proper methanol map were im going to have to reduce fueling so that the methanol will take its place partially, as well as increase the timing. Im too afraid to do that, as the kits in order to be extra safe need to have 2-3 failsafe mechanisms and i cant be bothered.

could be useful to retard ignition if you have a standalone nitrous setup with a dedicated controller.

But why use standalone system if vems can do all that... and that already has built in ignition reatard and add or remove extra fuel.

How would a setting save more fuel over the other?
There is absolutely no reason you would run rich and wrong timing on cruise on purpose on one map when you know the good settings.

By limiting boost to say 1 Bar rather than 2...

That's what I am having now: (universal mode) 95 Ron low ignition up high with low boost and 98+ higher ignition high boost mode switchable on the fly.

you dont need a config for that, only your foot.

Not really too easy to switch on the fly when someone needs to be taught a lesson!
