  • Launch control and no lift shift on a budget

i finally picked up a WOT box from http://www.n2mb.com. i have to say so far im totally pleased with it. the ignition cut launch control works beautifully and i havnt had a chance to test the no lift shifting yet as my car is still up in the air on jack stands.
im not getting the infamous loud backfire and flames yet but there are settings that need to be tweaked so im sure that will come too . anyhow, if your on a budget and want launch control and no lift shift on your factory ECU this is definately the way to go. for 200.00 bucks new and 100-150 bucks used you cant go wrong versus over priced chips and standalone ECU's. and unlike the chips this unit is fully adjustable with a laptop or the button on top of the box.

If you guys are interested in using a WOT box i'll gladly do a DIY write up on how to install it. although if you look at the installs on the N2MB web site they show people doing splice work under the hood which i think is messy. all if my splicing work is done at the ECU connector inside the car and the WOT box is mounted inside my glove box where the serial port is easily accessible and the same with the diagnostic LED on the box.

Here's a video of my first run with it after i got it roughly configured. no backfiring or flames yet but that will come

Do you know what order it cuts the ignition in?

it doesnt cut each cylinder individually, it cuts power to all of the coils at once. its more of a 2-step than launch control because timing isnt retarded.

I'd love this but my stock clutch would DIE immediately.
