    314mm or 323mm??

Ok, so I just got my SEAT calipers. They actually doo look rather good in real life. The hunk of metal that they call bracket was rather impressing too - it will stand up to a little machining for sure! So now it comes down to discs. The question is - how big discs should I go for? I'd really really like to fit these calipers and use them with my 16" Avus - will that limit me to 314mm discs? I was actually planning on getting a 320mm 2-piece rotor (as I got one for free just the other week!) but if I don't find another one then I'll just buy a set of solids. Now, this thought leeds me to lean towards 314mm beacuse then I can just make a distance to space out the caliper when the time comes to go 320mm. The 314mm are almost 40mm larger in diameter than stock - but then again the 323mm are almost 50mm larger. Since these are 2-piece calipers I'll probably won't be able to use 323mm and fit them, so I'd have to machine them down - will I be able to fit a 320mm and these calipers? Any good way of finding out without having to buy one 314mm and one 323mm disc?

And also - Red Dot discs? Are they any good or? They are grooved and pretty decently priced. What pads? Ferodo DS200 is the plan but what do I know??

What thickness discs are the SEAT calipers designed to work with?
Get your pads and push the pistons all the way back, then measure the distance between them.
This may determine your disc choice.
A6 discs are slightly thinner if you need to use a thinner disc IIRC.

Nope, I'm going with 30mm discs, not the skinny 25's. I'll just have to shave some mtrl off the calipers to make it work just fine. There's almost 31mm between the pads when fully pushed in so I'm convinced it'll work out!

314mm to fit under the 16" Avus.
Get your discs, bolt your caliper brackets to the car and get measuring!
