Latest URQ was equipped with 269x20mm v8 disc and carriers and calipers. If you want to upgrade that setup it is possible with newer A8 S [S8] carriers + 280x22mm disc. that same disc is in a4 front. No setups built yet but seems to be a very possible combination after ETKA and brembo catalog study. Best feasible upgrade is done to older URQ WITH 245X10MM system and that upgraded to 280x22mm setup. Remember the balancing of front and rear.

So what do i need to upgrade a 245x10mm URQ to 280x22? What parking brake caliper do you use or will this not work if you want a parking brake? Thanks, des. -

Neb - I think what Tommy is saying is that you can go with the 269x20mm setup with less hassle and cost than the S8 caliper/carrier and 280x22 disc. Some surveillance of the family album and checking disc dimensions should get you there.
The 200TQ Avant ran with 269x20 rear discs - dunno if these have correct hat height for the rear of a UR.

- 2x A4 disc vag 8e0 615 301A 280x22mm
- 2 x S8 rear caliper carriers
- 2x ur v8 calipers or 200 20v calipers or C4 S4 Calipers
(has integrated hand brake system)
+ machining the pad holders about 0,5-1.0mm on each side to fit the 22mm disc
instead of 20mm disc or remove the same amount of material from each brakepad
- 12,5mm shim between carrier and caliper attachment point
- the shim plate is relatively big !
==> maybe easier to use (The original RR URQ rear brakes....)
- 269x20mm V8 disc +
- 2 x urv8 or 200 20v or C4 S4 rear caliper carriers
- 2x urv8 calipers or 200 20v calipers or C4 S4 Calipers
Also the S8 "non sticking" aluminium S8 rear calipers / A8 calipers do most probably fit when designed for 22mm disc. The neuS4 aluminium rear calipers do not fit.Comment
