    will these fit?

Hi after a long while of searching i think i found some porsche calipers from round where i live. I just need confirmation if these will fit. The part numbers are 996 351 430. Are these the ones i should be after for the porsche upgrade with the rs2 carries and a8 discs? thanks for your help

the part number you quoted in your first thread is from an early GT3 / 996 turbo. Just like the ebay link with the guy with the hairy leg. Very large calipers and possibly wouldn't fit the rs2 brackets.

The ebay link in your 3rd post is of the old style split calipers. Have a read up about these old style calipers and decide if you really want to deal with the possible corrosion & squealing issues some people seem to be having?

And is there any need to buy a set of 4? You wouldn't be able to use the rears without rigging up an additional spot caliper for the handbrake etc..... so could be expensive.

The standard 996 route is tried and tested........ I'd go for that again given the choice...

oh, and if you ever want to buy something from design911, do try to make your purchase in person!

yup, those silver ones are not monoblocs. The design is similar to those from an RS2...... but not exactly the same. (Don't ask me what the differences are! I've no idea)

sorry don't know of anywhere specific. Try a porsche breaker - lots advertise in the back of porsche owners club magazines / porsche glossy magazines in WHSmiths etc.

                Try somewhere like this: http://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/

parts to look for are fromthe FRONT of any 996 (non-turbo vehicles), or the Boxster S,
corresponding numbers to look for are:
                996 351 425
                996 351 426

                cheers!
