    Black diamond disks and pads?

    Heya

Thinking about bying some blackdiamond disks and pads for stock S2 brakes. Wont have enough cash to go for upprated calipers for quite some time.
Any1 tried these on there S2 and can give some advice on the matter?

Thinking ill go for Black diamond front anid rear groved disks, black diamond pads, Braided steel brake lines, And Motul RBF 600 fluid.

This should atleast make the brakes abit better.

    So what you guys think?

What cost will all that be?
996 conversion is £525 in parts.
The rear will make do with a new set of pads @ £16 from GSF.

When I bought my car from Alastair (alg) it had Black Diamond grooved and drilled discs on the front with EBC red pads.
In my opinion these offered about the same performance as stock discs and pads just made a whole lot more noise once warm.
I did note that both the drilled holes and the grooves were full of hard brake dust when removed, but they seem to have lasted well with regards the wear on the discs.
I'd save up for the Porsche upgrade, as any aftermarket OEM size discs, pads and calipers (or OEM parts) don't compare at all.
The setup on the rear of mine is standard. (disc and pads)

I had some blackdiamond discs on my car when i got it, but the pads that were on there were so so hard it was eating the discs and the pads werent wearing at all.

Ive just put on Zimmerman Vented discs under my Porsche brakes.

          Hi,

Regarding the Motul RBF 600 fluid. To the best of my knowledge, you'll have to stick with the green brake fluid recommended by Audi. But I'm not an expert...

            Hmmm why would that be?

Motul says it is fine to use it. Then again its there product so youd think they are inclined to saying just that.

I think you have to be careful not to mix certian brake fluids. I can't remember which ones though, do a search.

How do you count to get that number?

996 calipers are 282 £ Each over here...
Brackets on top of that would be another 89 £
and ss braided lines another 90£
A8 discs should be around 100 £ for booth of em

thats roughly 850 £ for the hole thing.
So im Extremly interested to see where one would be able to get it for 525
