    Occasional judder on the pedal..

My other half noticed it happening last week and I did as well yesterday when driving her RS2. Only happens occasional (maybe once every 20 times) but when you push on the brake pedal for a second it feels like it's "biting back" if you know what I mean.

Having only owned classics for the past 15 years, i can only presume that it maybe a small problem with the ABS?? It does not affect breaking and this happened to me twice, once was breaking from speed and the other was on approach to a T juntion which I was only doing about 10-15 mph...

    Can anyone point me right?

Also may be an idea to check the abs wheel speed sensors.
I had this on my s4 recently, one wheel speed sensor intermittantly gave no signal below 10-15 kph and I got false abs cycling pulling up to junctions...

            I had the same phenomena.
It was the toothed wheel of the ABS that was broken.
There is one for each wheel. It triggers the pulse signals.

I had the same on my Avant. It turned out the ABS sensor was OK, but the sensor ring (toothed wheel in the hub) was cracked. This is seemingly quite a common fault on VAG cars.
Unfortunately for me I never got mine fixed in time and skidded into the back of another car resulting in a write off!

I had the feeling of pedal judder and it turned out to be the brake bomb

May not be in your case but I ended up replacing the bomb and all symptoms went.

                Good luck

easy way to put this to the test is unplug you abs relays that will tell you if its the bomb or not

You wanted red calipers and not black ones.
Do you want black ones fitting this weekend?
I can't let a forum member drive round on sh@t brakes, can I?
