    vibrations under braking

    Hi guys...

What does it mean when my steering wheel judders crazy under braking over 60mph? does it mean i win a prize? its judders so hard i even get a slight banging noies from front passenger wheel.

After noticing this at 150mph i think i should address this issue (what can i say, its been 4 months since i had any boost) (this is the bit where i should say on private roads )

Take it to garage straight away slowly.
Something is loose and you will die if you carry on!

If it happens only under braking I would suspect that you've got warped discs. If you get vibration the whole time over 60mph you could have a wheel out of balance, or a bent rim or something like that, or perhaps a tyre is going seriously out of kilter on you?

it vibrates over 80, vibrated under braking over 60.

I'll see if a wheel falls off, if not I'll take it to a garage as suggested

can a warp disk be diagnosed with it being on a ramp?

If it vibrates under light braking then it is probably the disks. If it dissapears when you brake really hard then I would say definately discs, however, I would not ask you to brake hard due to your description of events. The banging thing is what concerns me, if it's got that bad something is fooked, seriously.
Take the wheel off and have a look, make sure everything is tight, if you can't find the cause take it to somone who can.
I don't want another S2 with damage at the moment from Manchester

There's a discussion pointer at the audifans 3series coupe forum on this kinda thing, I'm sure it points to a web site called stoptech.com, to summarize; lots of brake judder can be caused by pad deposits. due to variety of reasons , compound recipe or more frequently , failure to bed-in pads correctly , worth a read ...
