Help: Brembo convertering, from a mitsu EVO 6 to s2

    Hi!

I've got a set of Brembo calippers and discs lying in my garage for about 3-4 years from a Mitsubishi EVO 6 TME ( yes i know..)
Now that i'm hungry for newer brakes (right calip. in the back is caputt) i was wondering if these would fit my S2 Avant?!

The numbers that i found inside the calippers were:

    front: (4pot calippers, 320mm x 30 disc)

    20713701
    20713601

    back: (2pot calippers, 288mm x 28? disc)

    207140
    207139

So, can anyone here perhaps help me? or else i'm selling it to buy new BIG BRAKES.

Just sad it says 'brembo' and not 'porsche' on them, but heck, it's brembo that makes them for porsche

    Thanks,
    Anders

only prob your going to have is the age old hand brake my friend

so your in to 3 options

      1 aux hand brake caliper

2 drum within a disc setup off an rs2

3 drill the top of your pads and put a cable through the pads with a spring in the middle

which ever way you do it tho gotta be better than standard or in your case only one rear working

      cheers

Ok, so you think it would fit? i've searched the forum and did'nt find anything likewise.
Most likely i will go for setup nr2.
Going to a fellow mate later this day (witch owns the silverarrow in norway ) to maybe buy a rs2 rear calipper and 4 rs2 nav (nav= the thing you bolt your wheels on =5x130 instead of 5x112) and then use the existing rs2 handbrake system with maybe my brembo monoblocks in the garage if that DO fit?!

If the monoblocks is the same as some of porsches' then all i need is a seat or rs2 bracket then i'm all set.

SO please, if you know, pleas let me know

Will: yes, got all sorts of mysterious things. Got it from my father witch ran a rally car workshop earlier..

Man, do me a favour, measure please distance between strut mounting bolts centers :mischeif: .

If you don't know how to do that, it's very simple math. Measure one hole diameter, then measure distance between hole edges. Distance between centers is hole diameter + distance between edges .

think your going to need some a8 discs as i dont think the hat height of those will be enough, your rs2 brackets should fit striaght on with the a8 disc

ok, so the ET of the calipper should be ok then?!
But, if i'm buying rs2 wheelmounts (cause of the handbrake) then a8 disc's wont fit hence they're 5x112 and rs2 5x130.
Or then maybe i can get creative with the handbrakesetting.

damn, i just want bolt ons..

                but thanks for anwsering anyway

They won't fit, not with RS2 / Seat brackets - They don't use brackets.
They are direct mount to the hubs, which are nothing like the Audi hubs if those measurments are correct.
You may get them to fit with adapter plates, you would have to strip your brakes off and offer them up to your hubs / discs to see if there is enough clearance.
Buy yourself some 996 calipers off the German Ebay and fit them.

There's a lot to be said for tried and tested, don't try and re-invent the wheel. Sell your brembos and use the money for the 996's

With your setup "360hp with more to come" you could consider the GT3 upgrade seen on here last week.
Would fit under your 19" wheels well with the larger 345mm A8 disc.
                        They would stop you!

hehe, i'm thinking about selling them 19"'s. cause they're to bling bling and too big (NOT MY STYLE).
i want to go for max 18" and min 17" Porsche Cup Trubo's in 5/130 since they have a moore nice look at the audi 80 shell i think. so preferably it'll be 996 in the front and maybe rs2 in the rear!?

And i have to say; What a brilliant forum! quick response and allways good help to get
                          Top notch!
