    FERODO problems

I am so HAPPY ;JEFFER helped me switch my front brakepads ;FERODO,S for original PORSCHE items {TEXSTAR} and now after 3 years of noise from my frontbrakes {they make noise while driveing} its fixed and i can enjoy a nice ride. maybe the FERODO didnot had a perfect fit?.wish i had fitted TEXSTAR in the first place..

Sorry to hear that that's the route you've taken to get rid of the brake noise. Just don't expect the Textars to give you the same braking performance as you were used to with the Ferodos though. I know they're OE Porsche parts, but they're still cheap, and cheap doesn't equal high performance.
I also had noise issues with EBC Reds so it's not just the Ferodos.

i use mintex and they do tend to give some noise from time to time.now that i fixed the antisqueel system on my big red(or should i say blacks not that i painted them) i think the problem is solved.
How much are the textars actually?

I don't agree with you on that.
I had Ferrodo's DS 2500 for 3 years. Now for a year Textars and they are much better. On the road and track. Less fading on track in specific. No more Ferrodo's for me.

Me to, I think Ferrodo's are more for track use only....? I was pleasend surprised the first time I was on track with the Textars. That was at Knockhill at Doug's.

I changed from a dusty to a low dust pad and to be honest, if it stops you well ,I dont care how dusty it is. The low dust ones I've got in at the mo don't brake as well as the dusty Textars, so I'll be trialing some new pads shortly made to our specs

I found the Ferodos to be much more suited to town driving than the EBC Reds, which definitely required heat to bite properly in my experience.

Then you'll love textars. I was annooyed that I had to heat up the Ferrodo's. Textars bite when cold.
