CNC has nothing to do with it. I have also done my own as well as used bought ones. They are not as good as the Porsche cast in ones.
What kind of disc do You recommend?

im not arguing the fact that plain discs are best and that cast discs with holes are better than drilling them afterwards, but regarding the CNC machining i dont think the accurasy matters but the slow rpm and how quick the drill "punches" the hole.Originally posted by CoreyNot trying to start a war but how?
A CNC drilling centre is no more accurate than a manual drilling centre, it just has repeatability for numerous jobs.
this way it will generate less heat and tension in the disc.
and as i wrote i have used this on a S6+,urS4 and RS2 for about two years now and i have had no problems
(the S6+ is not mine though..)
peace Corey

Yeah no worries, not gonna fall out with you, everyone has an opinion but in my experience having done over 30 monoblock upgrades with various Audi's and using all manner of discs. I would not recommend drilled discs (other than cast in ones).Originally posted by ridgeraceras i wrote i have used this on a S6+,urS4 and RS2 for about two years now and i have had no problems

You are correct on the slow drilling though, the cooler you can keep the metal being drilled but it still affects the grain structure around the hole, which can lead to cracks appearing when using the brakes in anger.Corey
