  • Millers brake fluid

Anyone using this stuff, from the specs it looks excellent in terms of dry boiling point - would probably need changing fairly regularly, but that's a really high dry max temperature:

Millers Racing Brake Fluid 300 Plus

Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point - Above 300°C (310°C typical)
Wet Equilibrium Boiling Point - Above 194°C
    Kinematic Viscosity at –40°C - Below 1750cSt

£20/litre from Millers, so more expensive than other Dot4s but not as expensive as Castrol SRF...

It looks to me like it absorbs water fairly quickly leading to a fairly quick reduction in wet boiling point - how often are you changing the fluid with the Millers stuff? It is a very high dry boiling point.

I change my brake fluid every 12 months anyway just to be sure...

Mines been in since last June. No issues with it.
I know you track the car now and again Dan, I don't, so can't comment on how it would behave in those conditions. But then I can give mine a bit of stick now and again.
My car flew through it's test last month, tester asked me WTF brakes are on the front, so I assume all's well in the braking department.

I had this stuff in when i tracked my S2 with the 996's on and never got them to fade. Brake pedal feel did slightly change but a quick bleed and all was back to normal, given it was a full day on the track.

                Cheers,

Must be good, I can't get the brakes to fade either. 150-30, no problems
