  • 996 brake pads removal ???

    Hi,

I have stupid question regarding that - there is a pin, that is holding retaining spring and pads in the caliper. What force do I need to push it (after clip removal) to get out ? Tried to do by hand - no effect. I hope it has no thread on the smaller end or something ?

Just want to ask before aplying some two ton hydraulic press on it.

Clean the pin first then tap it out with a toffee hammer, do not use a press. They are a tight fit and any road scum that gets onto them will make them stick.
