    Brakes for ur quattro

I know that is not s2 but..
I been looking for the brakes for ur quattro to fit with oem 15" ronals. And I found the porsche 964 brake calipers for good price. Will them fit and what mod would we need for fiting them?
    Please guys

They will bolt on but the problem is the disc offset and diameter, you will not gain any advantage because you will have a similar size disc to standard.
I can offer you a Porsche monoblock upgrade that is designed to fit within the 8x15 wheel.
PM if you want any more information.
Do a search within the forum and you will see other ur quattro's that have had my kits.

What is disc diameter on your kit ? I've tried to squeeze monoblocks into 16" rims this weekend (315mm disc), no way without spacers .

All 16" wheels I've checked had something like "hardened line" near the spokes which is rubbing the caliper . So 15mm spacers are on the way to clear this .

300mm diameter disc and no spacers required.

and you can fit 314mm discs within 16"s, just got to know how

          If it's possible somehow - I'll find it, coz I'm kwlw .

          Back to topic:

BTW what do you mean "too small" about discs - 964/944T stock disc is 298x28, so I don't see big difference in this aspect from things you offer.

Main problems I can see with 964 setup is discs and brackets.

I have pictures somewhere of that done to the urq. Porsche discs were used, however if I remember correctly - they had custom hats, or at least were redrilled to have right bolt pattern. Of course not to mention caliper flexibility - monoblocks are far ahead .

One more thing - to fit this setup in 15" - some magic is needed .

Tarox'ses (at least on nissans and co) are quality stuff, but their design is more racing than street. They too expensive even to think about . I can imagine some pimped audi A4 with clear backlights and steroid 1.8T giving 600hp with tarox'ses, not the urq . It's somehow not right . But myself if I've had so much money - I would go for GT3 Mk.I or GT3 Mk.II caliper and some huge directionally vented rotor rings with aluminium center hats.

I must be too cheap then?

15" ur quattro kit is £785.00 and I am doing a 6 pot conversion on my ur, so that will be available shortly for about £1000 ish.
                    Plus shipping of course.
Anyway why would you to use an inferior caliper when compared to the Porsche monoblock?

No war at all, it's all good competition. If people want to buy from me then they know where I am, if not (shrugs shoulders) then that is cool. I just like to give people a cost effective performance upgrade.
While the money is nice it is not my motivation and my overheads are a lot lower than most people.

Hey Corey, I take it the Monoblock pistons have dust/dirt seals?, unlike some specialised calipers. And is it a very simple bolt on/swap conversion for a ur that could be easily put back to standard if needs be?.

Just keeping my options open for the future really. Standard brakes seem adequate for the road but when I took it around Combe it was a different story!

Porsche Monoblock calipers are road calipers fully dust sealed. They are used on Porsche's own road cars.

very simple bolt on, although i do prefer to fit them for people. And yes it is possible to swap back to standard if you wish (but couldn't imagine why you would). Adequate is not a word I like to use, why limit the performance of your brakes? would you with your engine?
The ur's brakes where marginal back in the day but why not benefit from todays technology applied to a fantastic car.
This kit is very capable around a track (ask DamoM) although it does benefit from an upgraded pad for the track (which I can supply).

Cheers Corey, I do like the fact they are Porsche OE quality. I'll seriously consider that for the future.
