Would it pass an MOT without ABS?

Theres no law saying you must have ABS is there? I would "guess" you just need to bridge the brake lines that were going in and out of the unit. Shouldnt be a problem as not all models had abs..

Please remember that I am talking about my current car which is due to be stripped to become as light weight as possible for track days.

So inlight of this I wouldn't need the ABS anyway.

If it's fitted it has to work, inlcuding the light. If all trace is removed and the car looks stock, whose to know it was ever fitted.

@ Corey - so blanking off the light and taking the switch out would be a good idea????

                  Cheers

                      Mot

If the car had ABS when new then it must be working for an mot , Knew of an old Rover 800 years ago and the repair of the ABS was more than the cars worth and the owner had to apply for dispensation
