  • Brakes and ticking noises....

I've had my Porsche Boxster S conversion up front for a while...

Recently I've developed, after heavy braking, a ticking noise from the brakes....

I can make it go away by re-applying the brakes.

The frequency of the ticking increases as I accelerate.

After some time, the ticking noise will go away by itself.

If I shut down the car and leave for a while, then go out again, the ticking noise vanishes until the next heavy application of the brakes.

    Clues?

    Anyone had a similar experience?

    Cheers.

Have you removed the dust shields?
or have you fitted the pad dampers inbetween the pads and pistons?
are you certain the disc is sat square in bewteen the pad retaining pins?
