ATE power disc

Hi,
Does anybody have any comments on the ATE power disc? These are the brake discs with the wavy carves on the surface. These are I think the only non stock discs available in Hungary, although I am not shure they would give any improvement in slowing down the car. Anyway, what would a novice S2 owner do to be kind to the car?

If I've not misunderstood your S2 is second hand, isn't it?
Unless you know personally previous owners and trust them 100%, I would immediatly do a cambelt+tensioner+waterpump change.
