    rs2 rear brakes

Has anyone fitted the rear callipers from an rs2 to their s2 without changing the hubs?
What disks etc would be needed?

    Handbrake

The first problem that will have to be sorted is the handbrake. The RS2 has its handbrake pads inside the disc (drum).

The second issue is that you will have to get someone to machine out a caliper holder.

What disc to use is as you pointed out the third issue.

I´d would rather go for the S4 (and various other models) rear brake setup. They are 269 mm and vented. Probably also possible to get them grooved and/or drilled for the extra look/performance . All you need to create is a 6.9mm washer between the hub and disc (as far as I know).

    Regards

      Just some add data points.

1- I agree, Audi S4 looks to be the best solution. RS4 calipers also fit nicely. Both have integrated parking brakes. The RS4's are Alum calipers. I don't know what the S4's are.

2- Tommy Arnberg on the Audi20V_Kruemmer list has very good documentation and pictures of the S4 installation. Dig a little and you will find it.

And going off topic - what a pain the RS2 handbrake design is. Not one of Porsche's better contributions to the project. If there's one thing I'd change about the RS2, it's the poxy handbrake.

          Hello

I agree Porsche parking brake is not the best design on the world but the calipers look and work wonders.

I would like to install some Boxter S rear calipers on my car to complete the Porsche brake system and separate Brembo parking brake caliper / system to avoid the drum setup.

Anybody has any idea if this can be done?

          Cheers,
          Rafael

P.S. In the avant fairly easy but I mean on the Coupe.
