  • About the Hydraulic pressure accumulator

    Hello everybody,

I have a coupe 2.3 20v and I have some problems with the BOMB.

I started having the tipical problems like bloked brakes, and now I have the hard pedal at first. I bought a new bomb and, after changing it, I have the same problem...so a friend lent me a squared bomb to try if it will be the main problem.

Does anyone know if it is posible to swap the first model ( rounded) with the second one (squared)??

I cant take my money back from that bomb due to it is discontinued and very difficult to find. It is not a cheap component.

Maybe I can buy another steering bomb to try if it is the problem... but i dont know.

I bought one but nowadays it is discontinued. So is not as easy as before to buy one.

Research vacuum servo conversion. It doesn't change anything in terms of braking power or pedal feel but, it does make the assistance so much more reliable and does open up a lot of options for spares! Win + win.

Several threads on this forum how to do it.
