As part of the refurb of the rear end of the avant I'm removing the rear suspension and subframe. A lot of things are now detached or loose but I can't see how the remove the handbrake cable from the guides through the wishbones. Should they just slide through the guides? At the moment they don't budge at all but can't see anything holding them.
Yes, there are two clips, one on each side. Remove the heat shields and you will see them. If I remember correctly, the cable is quite tight through rear wishbone. There is a collar as it enters the wishbone which slots in the hole if I remember correctly.
