    vented rear disks

Hello everyone. Need some answers please. My near side rear caliper has seized again , so im gunna spend some money and try to fit s6 calipers/carriers and a3 discs(machined). I have been quoted £85 for the calipers(new lucas ones).Im trying to source the carriers s/h. When i have given the part no they say they have got them but they turn out to be wrong.Does anyone know if 447615425B is the correct part no? According to my local audi garage it is.

    I make 447 615 425 B the P/N for the rear caliper carrier for the 100, 200, UrS4, early A6/UrS6, V8 and A8/S8.

If you do a search, there are a few threads on rear brake upgrades. Here are a few good examples:

Thanks. I have read all the threads about rear brake upgrades(very helpful stuff). The only thought i had was that when i gave the part no for the carriers i didnt use the B. another option was fit a sronger spring,(s2 central site) but when i went to the ford garage they said the part no was no longer available! Would i be right in thinking i need a3 discs machining them down(diameter and centre hole). what about the wheel bolt holes?

If you are going to go the route of machining, just go with the B6/7 S4 rear rotor. Then all you have to do is machine the diameter from 300mm down to 280mm. This is less complicated for the machine shop, than boring the center bore and retapering it, and slotting the bolt holes from 5X100 to 5X112.

That is what I will be doing after the A3/New Beetle rotor I am running now wear out.
