do a quick search , I'm sure it's discussed in various threads in a sub-forum, few people running them with grooved ebc rear disks etc, other opinions widely available...

      red stuff

they seem to work well on my rs2[ so far] under 500miles , certainly less dust, and i would say ,,,as much bite as standard , but i am not so heavy on that pedal ,,,so can not compare to other types or driving styles

      too much choice?

I'm following discussions here about brake pads. Opinions are bit different but statistically more people prefer Ferodo DS2500 brake pads (for street/track) and DS3000 (for track), than EBC stuff. Also I've heard only good opinions about pagid high grade and racing pads (except that they are $$$$).

There were accidents when people complained about EBC pad quality (poor performance, pads wearing too fast, friction material breaking from metal plate, brake disk overheating and cracking after tracking, etc.).

In short, just don't. Pay the premium and get the Ferodo DS2500. Red Stuff is just not worth it.

Red stuff for the rear? From what i've always heard I would have thought they would not have got hot enough to show the true performance unless you was on a track?

I don't think you can get ds2500 for front or rear in the OEM setup, most people will be running ds2500 in aftermarket calipers ; brembo, ap etc

I think I recalled in a different post your running 996 callipers? am I correct, from what i've heard even with the standard pads in them they should be good enough, will find out once mine's fitted.
