    caliper service kits?

I've stripped the rear calipers on my CQ, cleaned them up and now need to rebuild them... I'm struggling for the rebuild kits.
Brakeparts.co.uk (Brakes International) are out of stock and can't seem to tell me when they will have some back in... I've tried ECP and GSF to no joy

Any other ideas about where to source these rebuild seal kits?

    Cheers

Rear caliper rebuild kits are hard to get hold of (the companies that rebuild them are very reluctant to sell them for the obvious reasons-and they don't include all the bits you need)
Best bet is to find out which company supplies the local motor factors and see if they will sell you some.
Be warned that if the handbrake mechanism is sticking you are probably better off buying new or recon ones as it's a b4st4rd of a job to do correctly.
      Good luck

        Cheers Carl

Checked that second link - crap site!!!! I hate it when you can't browse / buy online... have to fill in a form and get some numpty to get in touch, more often than not ending up with the wrong parts and headache!!

        I'll try Vagparts

Brakes International have got some stock, but its in Denmark and will take 10 days to get here... i've stripped the rear calipers no problem - even with both handbrake mechs seized... bit of Plusgas, a lever bar and a pair of water pump grips is perfect!!

One of the pistons is fecked, and the piston seals and dust boots are gone.. all i need is the seal kit and a new piston and rebuild them with plenty high-temp grease.
New handbrake mech seals are 40p each (standard size sprung oil seal)
Nothing wrong with the bores or mechanisms on either caliper - just need cleaning up and regreasing with new seals. The only difference between what i'm doing and what refurb places do is that i don't have access to a shot blaster or a electro-plating equipement, so mine will take longer to do and won't look as pretty

no way i'm paying £180 for new / recon calipers when i can rebuild both of them for £40

            Wow!

MASSIVE big up to Brakes International

Ordered a replacement piston, bleed nipples and two service kits for the rear G38 CQ calipers. Great price. Great service.

They only had the piston and bleed nipples in stock.

They shipped the seal kits from their suppliers in DENMARK
            Turned up the NEXT DAY

              What grease are you using?
