I have a beeping autocheck with the (!) symbol - and its starting to drive me nuts.
and was wondering if people could give me some sugestions about trying to sort it.
To give a bit of history, since owning the car it has always displayed (!) after 10 or 20 seconds of starting the car. This would then go off and not come back on during the journey.
However, I recently lost a lot of power steering fluid when the screw cap failed and spat fluid out of the electrical connector. This was rectified with a new screw cap - and fluid topped up and bled.
Now the autocheck is fine when the car is started from cold, but the warning comes up once the car is warm and the brakes are applied at low speed. I cant see any leaks anywhere, and the brakes appear to be effective. Once the brakes are let off the symbol goes away, but it returns every time the brakes are used.
The brake fluid level seems fine, as is the power steering fluid.
Any thoughts or suggestions ???
