RS4 brakes for S2?!?

A friend of mine has offered me some brakes off an RS4 (year 2000 model) as he upgraded his and said if it's a worthwhile and doable swap onto the S2 then I can have them off him for a good price.

Is this swap possible given that the 2 cars are so different or is it a helluva lot of bracket making and other upgrades like hoses, discs etc? He said they're in good condition but could possibly do with a good cleaning and probably re-painting just to make them look nicer. What's a typical price for this kind of item (I'm not sure wether it's just fronts or a full set!) and is it a good upgrade if it's possible to swap compared to the Porsche one? Any help/advice would be great on all questions asked,

Thanks, I shall have a look at his threads! Tried a quick search but was unable to find all the answers I wanted/needed so I guess I'll have to dig deeper... plus, it's always good to get new advice!

At a quick glance i had of an r8 caliper, they do look the same, so maybe the rs6 and r8 calipers are the same. AFAIK the disks in the conversion are off a Phaeton tho

RS6 calipers are exactly the same as B7 RS4, R8 and W12 Phaeton. For the record mine are RS6 as they were the ones available at the time. I was going to use the Phateon version as they don't have logo's on them but they would have taken too long to arrive. DougRS2 has the R8 version on his B5 S4. R8 ones are harder to get as Audi UK closely monitor all orders for R8 specific components and you have to convince them that you have a valid reason for ordering them.

Discs are W12 Phateon.

lol well, now we've cleared up what brakes s2avant uses, which unfortunately is no use for myself although it does sound like an interesting swap with the RS6 setup, does anybody here have the RS4 brakes on an S2 or know if it's easily do-able to swap them over?
