I've amassed all the bits I need for this long awaited upgrade. Everything except the brake pads that it is. Am I right in saying that Textar pads are the best for road use ?
Anyone got suggestions for a reputable source and decent price ?
Save me some time sifting thru Google hits.
Yes, they bite better than stock pads from cold. DS2500s are almost magical in their perforamance - better cold bite, better pedal feel, better overall stopping power, better fade resistance, better pad and disc wear... Only downside is the sheer quantity of filth they kick out!

how about squeel???
do the ferodos squeel and squeek when not pressing the brakes?my older mintex and then pagid use to do that and this is why i changed to textars and solved the problem.Never tried the ferodos though cause i always thought they are more expensive than textars
got me a textar set this week for the RS2 (322x32 front and 299x24 rear)for 270euro +50euro fitment
i have to say that they are great from cold but blimey they really make another leap up when they are being worked hard. The bite and feel they provided round the ring was very impressive and no fade I paid £160 3 years ago for mine and they are still going strong so I'd say good value for money, even more so at Corey's prices
