Serious rear brake option for the coupe lads up to 325x24mm disk!

At only £214 plus vat you could have a very good brake setup for the rear too!

I think i will go for this option just as soon i get my 6pot's with 365x35mm setup on the front.
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

I saw an audi v8 converdion in to a lotus and spoted thease in the back ground, so as to what im going to do with the handbrake, i dont totally know is the answer and im going to go for the maximum disk size which is 325x24mm, on the back this should be adequate for balancing my new front setup which is partialy purchaced!

These look a very interesting solution! Just a question though, have HiSpec improved their quality, I know a few years ago a few people here had issues with HiSpec calipers?

It is the lack of seals? Can't remember....

Issue I remember was Tom (Audiman) having a piston seal failure a few years back.
Those older calipers also lacked dust seals. These new ones appear to have them.

Key to this is the handbrake mechanism - it needs to be side actuated for a smooth deployment on the Coupe with stock handbrake and retaining clips.

If someone wants to pursue this then great - I suggest the real custom carriers are designed with the 300x22 disc from the neu S4/Cabrio - dimensions are pretty perfect. There is an even larger disc available on rear of some A8/S8 - would need to hit the family album for part numbers.

I have dealt with Hi-Spec a lot over the last 3-4 months and I have to say their service has been exceptional. There's some bad press on the internet which tends to get brought up everytime Hi-Spec is mentioned, but from personal experience I can say that they seem top-notch and very helpful these days
