    Brake Refurbishment

I've been thinking about getting my brakes seen to on my RS2.

The discs and pads shouldn't need seen to, but i'd like to cure the squeak and restore handbrake performance.
Also, I hear the brakes squeaking when I'm moving very slowly and don't have the brakes applied... That shouldn't happen.

So i'd like to get the callipers refurbished, and replace bits that need to be replaced inside to make the brakes like new.

    Questions are:

apart from discs, pads, and calipers, which bits should I be replacing? (cost?)
Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the brake assembly?

    Thanks,
    JohnB

First check to see if your calipers aren't corroded around the pad retaining springs, before you spend money on parts for calipers that may need replacing.

I refurbished my 996 calipers, which included new piston seals, pad retaining springs, anti-squeal shims, fluid cross-over pipes, bleed screws and dust caps, a lick of paint and some new decals.

Perhaps you should PM me with details?
