      Foock me!

What is the difference with the 304 mm disk. Is that only the diameter? Is that hat the same as the 322 mm hat?
I ask this because i have a set of 304 mm lying around so that i can compare those with the 322 mm porsche disks. so that i'm 100% certain wich disks to have.

      greets and thanks!

        Jeffer,

304mm disc is a 1-piece design and the 322mm is a 2-piece design, so you can not separete the hat from the 304mm disc
If you use the 993 turbo disc you ordered, you will find when you fit that the disc is not centered with the caliper.
Solutions if you cannot give back the discs you ordered from Porsche:
        1. Keep the disc, buy others from Audi and swap the hats when they are worn out in the future (what I am doing)
        2. Sell the 993 twin turbo discs
        3. Have custom caliper carriers made to correct the offset difference, I am sure that because of the price difference of the dics from Audi and Porsche you have the cost of the custom job payed in two sets
        4.

Okee now i see. Well the disks are ordered but not pickup yet. So I probably can trade them for other disks. But Ten I need to know the part nr. from the right disk from porsche for the 322 rs2. Can you help me with that?

          cheers

Sorry to keep the bad news.

But I think Porsche doesn't have any part number for 322x32mm discs with Audi RS2 offset. They were specially produced for Audi, both front and rear.

On the other hand the 304mm ones are from a Porsche 928.

            Maybe someone can correct me

Porsche 911 3.6Turbo has the correct discs. They are one piece with right offset and drilled , but more expensive then the 2-piece 993tt discs.

I've compared the 304 mm disk with the 993TT disk. There's 5 mm offset difference in it.

Is the original rs2 disk also 2 piece or one piece?

I think I going to order the rs2 disk. Its like 220 euro's a piece or something.

The thing I don't really get is that TOTS uses the 993 TT disks on their cars?

I did the same "mistake" and bought 993tt discs. I called the dealer and asked if they had any discs with the right offset. They told me that 911 C2 turbo 3.6 was the right offset. 928 GTS also right offset, but not "drilled".

                      Cut from this site : http://www.944s2.com/brakes/brakes.htm :
                      (M030 option = RS2-brakes )

" ROTORS: Three factory front rotor options are available for big red or big black calipers:

                      928 GTS — 1-piece, "non-drilled," same offset as '87 and on 944 Turbo or 944 S2.

                      911 C2 3.6 Turbo — 1-piece, "drilled," same offset as '87 and on 944 Turbo or 944 S2.

993 Twin Turbo (TT) — 2-piece (separate rotor and mounting hat), "drilled," 5 mm less offset than above options. Not for use on cars originally equipped with S4 calipers (M030 option) unless custom alloy hats are used.

All of the above rotors have a diameter of 322 mm (12.68 in) and a thickness of 32 mm (1.26 in). The 928 GTS rotors are reasonably priced and work well on the street, but are not as "sexy looking" as the drilled rotor options. The 3.6 Turbo rotors are similar to the GTS rotors but have cast-in ventilation holes made by a special process, as do the 993TT rotors.

I originally chose the C2 3.6 Turbo rotors because I wanted the look and added cooling the "drilled" rotors provided but didn't want the extra expense of fitting the 993TT rotors and custom hats. I've now changed to the 993TT rotors and custom alloy hats. This saves a bit of unsprung weight, but my "calibrated arm" says it isn't anywhere close to the 4 lbs per side most vendors claim. "

                      Cheers,
                      Roger

In my quest for rear rs2 brakes on my coupe. I've salvaged a rs2 rear subframe with all the bits exept the calipers. If anyone wants to do the same conversion, then I have all the parts lying around for another rs2 rear brake conversion.

I've ordered also the "real" rs2 front disks. I'm getting nuts from all the disks. And the handbrake cables.
                        So I'm almost there

                        cheers

btw the rs2 disks were 20 euro's more expensive then the 993tt disks a piece.

                            Hi Jeffer,

Do you have measers on the S2 and RS2 rear drivesafts and outerjoints?

Or better still, Do you know if they can be swapped with the RS2 outerjoints?
