Can I get some advice on replacing urs4 ufo's?

Lookin to get rid off those naff ufo brakes as they will probably need replacing later this year anyway and they are sooooo expensive!
I've got a pair of S6 calipers (94-98) in the garage that need a bit of clean but look in good nic. Tim at Renn sport says he can modify the ufo struts to fit the s6 calipers and Im guessing that the standard S6 brake disks (94-98) would bolt straight on??
Would this work and be a cost effective solution?
I've also got a brand new pair of A8 cross drilled discs sittin in the garage but I think there post 98 so they wont line up so if anyone knows anyone who could use them PM me. They were £150 from Germany.
    Thanks in advance

I've asked for prices on a few parts off that car and he's quite reasonable.

O/T Can you tell me where you got the Stromung exhaust from and how much it was inc shipping?

Stromung is made in the US. You should contact Jeff Postupak who has been arranging group buys for a number of years:

No it won't work! Tim told me the same a few years back but it can't be done. Even if you make custom brackets to mount the calipers, the discs won't fit the ufo hubs. The only way as Bry says is to fit the HP2 struts from a later S4 or S6. You've then also got the option of a bolt on Porsche Cayenne brake conversion as Topsparky, Lune and myself have had done!!

Is Tim well rated as an Audi expert then, he seemed very good and knowledgable but my confidence is a little shaken now!
Where's the best place for get the job done right and at a fair cost?

I'm sorry to say not in my opinion! Nice enough bloke but I had a lot of work done by him and without exception none of it was right. It's slowly costing me a fortune to put my S4 right having already spent ££££ with him!

If I were you I would get hold of some S6 struts. They bolt straight on with no issues and you can then use the twin pot lucas calipers that were fitted as standard to many high performance Audis. This won't cost you the earth and should be a DIY job but any respectable garage could do this for you. As I said earlier you will then have the option to bolt on a Porsche upgrade later if you wish! Corey is the man to speak to about brake upgrades, that's if you can get hold of him!!
