Thanks lads but this issue re RS2 322mm front discs has been discussed many times before. Its the same as a 964 turbo 1991-2 ( they are not 993 discs) except that is a one piece cast unit rather than OEM two part. There is no porsche EXACT equivalent part. Audi were very cunning with the RS2 and all the 'porsche' parts were similar but different from the then current porsche models.
Cup alloys narrower, brake pads thinner, disc offset different, caliper postion switched etc

      Regarding the MOT:

      sections f,g & h

on some cars with back plates and flat faced wheels you can't even see the discs let alone the pads to check them- it's all on brake performance.
What you usually get with worn discs/pads is the brake readings fluctuating when held at a steady pressure-Your car is more likely to fail on brake or steering related items as they are safety items.

You would be amazed at the number of cars i see with seriously fooked brakes and ball joints only held in by rust - and the owners "didn't think they were that bad...."

What's the point of having a 400 horse car if you can't stop???????
