fitting 996 brakes

Thinking about getting porsche 996 callipers, are they front or rear porsche callipers? Do they use the standard s2 brake discs?

314s can be made to fit under 16s, 323s require 17s. I've had 314s for a while and have toyed with the idea fupgrading but can't say I really need to. Other top tip is Ferodo DS2500 pads for the odd track day, they're grrrrrrrrreat! Don't pay much over £100 a set though. Textar pads are fine for road use, £45+ from GSF, discs can be sourced from GSF, VAGParts and others.

Yep, Boxster S same as off 996, normal Boxster calipers to small tho for 323's.

314's would fit under Avus 16's peice of cake.

I had boxster s / 996 monos with Seat callipers and 314s under 16" Avus for 18 months with no problems at all. BRY is your man.

what about refurbishing them? Can they be stripped down and powdercoated or spray painted?

I sprayed mine, i got 1 silver and one black off Bry. Painted them at my mates bodyshop in normal car paint and they are fine.
