      i would also definitely buy and replace small copper pipe (about 10 cm) which connects 2 hoses between the brackets on the strut. Price is next to nothing, but then you get a new, good, easy-to-fit and more RELIABLE brake line. It's BEHIND the strut on the photo, between 2 goodridge hoses on my car.


      we also use small rubber caps from the drain nuts (don't know exact term in english - small thing that helps yu drain the air out of the brake line) to close the opening on the upper pipe to prevent leaks while replacing hoses.
