Hi There Guys
Does anyone happen to know where i could aquire a set of front slide pins for the brakes of my 3b?

Just managed to sheer one off

these are not available to buy seperately. Audi will sell you a carrier at £110 + vat.

I've only ever been able to source rear guide pins from Ford dealers but not found a source for fronts.

Woot, in Sweden we can get them for ~£8 inc VAT per kit front/back.

not the bolts but the sliding bolt was seized and i used a slide hammer, sheared off the top but managed to still get the pin out

Have you tried Brakes International in Rochdale?

are the bolts or carrier likely to be the same as those on the front or back of a standard coupe? If so I can probably help you out mate.

Sounds Promising but i think that the standard coupe had smaller front calipers but i have been known to be wrong

I tried Brakes International last week and the gent on the phone said not a hope in hell and to contact Audi direct as they couldn't even source a carrier let alone a slide pin

front calipers are definitely bigger on the s2 but that's not to say that the guide pins might not be the same. How do we check?

Hmmm I will try to get a measurement of the diameter of the pin from my S2 today!

are you likely to be near glasgow in the next couple of days? If I get time i'll try to remove a caliper for you and take out the pins. If need be I can post them and you can try them.

I'm sorry I have not been able to help you, I've been packed with work and my internet connection has been down for about 2 weeks, so I've only had my cell phone.
I'm at my mates place and catching up Internet wise.

I'm also in some deep financial troubles, and things aren't looking good.
