    RS2, what brakes?

Hi guys my mate has just bought an RS2 today, we've had a good look at it on the ramp and it needs some bits doing. One of them being the rear discs and pads. How can I tell if they are stock brakes or they are upgraded? And where's the best place to get parts from? Thanks

Measure them, take a pic and post it up, should help. Brakes wise I'd suggest that VAG Parts will be able to source you some standard discs and then put some Ferodo DS2500 pads in to give a bit more bite than standard. (quattronics / circuit supplies / balance motorsport). Upgrade the fronts to big reds if they're not already and do the same. Don't forget to check the rear hanbrake shoes in case they're knackered.

    Oh, and ENJOY!

Std brakes are plain 299x24mm while uprated (in "big red" kit) is 299x24 cross drilled
