    Help identify my front brakes

    Hello,

I have to replace the rotors and pads on my recently bought S2 -94 with RS porsche calipers in front. It´s just a jungle when i search the forums and i don´t know which brakes i have (large or small!?)

Take a look at this picture and tell med which pads and rotors fits best.

    Regrads,
    Martin

Thanks s2_Bo! i like them too, Porsche replica 18x8,5"

Now i have taken more photos,

          and

It says Brembo on the inside and those rotors are 314 mm wide. As you can see those old pads doesn´t cover all the way out to the rim so i think i got the wrong ones. I also measured the play between rotor and caliper and it was 7 mm so i could clearly get 323 mm inside. Are there any RS2 large size rotors that fit with the S2 hub?

If the discs are 314mm and the pads are not covering to the edge, the discs are too big.

This means you must have standard RS2 calipers for the 304mm disc.

              Ok,

Thanks for clarifying a bit, Mike.

But, i looked and could see no shims on the calipers and i still have about 7 mm left to the inside of the caliper on both sides. Couldn´t it be the wrong pads or is it same for all?

I have read of people having the small reds putting 6 mm shims under the calipermount to fit 314 mm discs, but if you could get up to 328 mm inside them already, why shimsing?

Are they on RS2 brackets? If they were on SEAT IBIZA brackets you would already have a few mm of shims under them.
The pads don't give much coverage on that disc, you need to check everything starting with calipers. Can you find any part numbers on them?

                  I´ve figured it out

Now i know why i didn´t get the pieces together, someone has put the RS2 "small" pads with S6 314 mm discs, together with RS2 "large" calipers on my car. So now i´m getting the large pads and intend to use the S8 99-2003 323 mm disc, that´s what most use when putting big reds on the S2, right?
