a mate had water cooled AP's on his mitzy evo and he said they were sh*te - never had a chance to drive/passenger in it but with about 6 track orientated cars to his name either there was a problem with the kit or they were indeed cr*p

no idea Alex, he sure knows how to drive and has a barn full of various exotica including a tasty NSX, exige, 968cs, tickford capri etc and has done more track events than i can think of. Given the weight of an evo heat shouldnt be a prob but he was definately not impressed with them. I think he went for some other 6 or 8 pot setup non water cooled and they were much better in his opinion.sigpic

Here's abit more for you.... rather large AP calipers with yes, carbon discs!
They are on the car my local tuner is building, a ~500BHP FWD Escort!

it always makes me wonder why someone with enough money to buy carbon discs didn't buy a decent car to put them on

It is a decent car!
The term Escort can only be used very loosely these days
It has held the record for fastest Escort RS Turbo in the past, and was taken off the road for a total rebuild and redesign.
Its now running totally custom suspension all round, tons of WRC spec engine parts, air shift WRC gearbox, and god knows what else!

I agree, but it is built to compete against other FWD cars.
The whole chassis and suspension setup has been built and designed by someone that builds dragsters.
The gearbox can have the ratios changed in very little time for optimum setup for track, strip or top speed runs.
Its going to be rather mental to say the leastComment
