The S2 has been on a c. four week holiday at the garage awaiting parts and mechanic time to fix the various bits that died. Picked up the car again with everything fixed (the oil now staying in the engine is a good start), but the brake pedal feeling is now completely different.
Am absolutely sure the garage put the car back together correctly (it's sounding better than it has for some time) and that they can get the brakes working again if I visit - but I'm running out of good will and holiday at work (for finding time to get there during opening hours) and out of money for garage bills.
The brake pedal feels harder and less progressive than it did when I last drove the car, and less effective at stopping it. Steering and clutch feel fine. Really hoping that the bomb hasn't just "gone" without warning (do they go without any warning?) while sat at the garage - simply can't afford to get that replaced at the moment.
Anyone have any (other) suggestions?
Cheers,
Ck.
