help needed from the brake exsperts

hi i need a bit of advice about brake caliper alinement i have been having problems with me brakes ever since i went to the mono blocks with porsche discs. spent some time tonight measuring things as i have bitten the bullet and fitted some new discs and dont want to **** them up. from looking at how the disc runs in the grove in the caliper it is lined up spot on. but with the pistons fully back one pad is a tight fit and the other is realy loose so after doing some measuring i think the caliper is 1mm off centre. which when i measured the old pads one was 1mm less than the other. is 1mm enough to put a disc out it does look more when checking the gaps in the brake pads but i have only measured it to be 1mm. so how should i get the caliper inline measure the centre line of the caliper or put the pads in an make sure the gaps either side of the disc are equal?
    your sudjestion please

As long as the disc is running "straight" through Your caliper it doesnt matter if the disc is off center regarding the brake pads. The pistons will self adjust so the pads are close to the disc and when applying brakes the force will be equal on both sides of the disc. But, very important is it that the disc and caliper are radial aligned. If You see the pads have an uneven wear from "Top" to "bottom" this should indicate an misalignment.

    cheers
