    Brake help please!

OK, I have kinda decided sod the expense, just spend the money on doing the S2. So I have bought a load of stuff for it in the last week.

I am looking at some calipers, can someone tell me if they are any use/ what I may need to fit them? I have bought some big reds for the front but I have also spied a fuul set of calipers with Porsche numbers as follows.

    996-351-429...AND...996-351-430

    996-352-425...AND...996-352-426

    Any use?

    Cheers

    It depends on you .

Those are 996 turbo calipers. Front and rear. They are good, especially for bigger cars like urs4, as they accept huge brake rotors and have bigger pistons as "conventional" 996 mono's.

However those calipers are NOT suitable for usual RS2/Seat carrier and A8 disk route.

      Another question on this:

Do the bigger better brakes fit with the standard S2 Avus wheels?? And what's the approx cost of an upgrade to Porsche brakes these days?

£380 will get you my 996 monoblocks, 314mm discs, Textar pads & RS2 hardlines - carriers not included. Calipers include shims where originally black and have been repainted in metallic grey. All the above has done approx 5-6K miles.

        Available next weekend.

Forgot to add these will fit within the std. 16" Avus wheel - just be careful where you put the balancing weights.
