  • UFO's replaced with Porsche 6 pots

I am looking for any info people have on this. If any............................or willing to share.

If not i am looking at designing a bracket that will work.

I now have spare UFO struts, calipers and pads. Just need to buy the discs i am looking at fitting then the rest will be a custom bracket.

The discs i am looking at using are either the RS4 discs or the VW Phaeton.

    Any help or info welcome.

        depends what 6 pot.

i have GT2 6 pots they require a differnt bracket to say Toureg/Q7 6 pots. also the caliper from the audi/q7 is a lot heavier and has a cast carrier into it.

im also using 993TT discs. the 350mm from the toureg require me a fork lift truck licence to get from my car to the garage.

Isn't the biggest problem with the ufo strut that the hub is too close to the strut to allow the disc to sit properly? You may need a spacer to push the disc out before you design a bracket.

Can I ask why you want to use a ufo strut? Would it not be easier with the HP2 strut?

Spink - Will do once i get out to my parents house.

This is why i am asking for suggestions /ideas before going ahead making a bracket for the UFO's. I have HP2 struts sitting so might just use them if too much hassle.

The reasons i would like to keep UFO's it would save me removing the strut, swapping the bilstein suspension over and get the tracking all setup again. (Tracking will probably need done with either setup)

I am looking at the 365x 34 mm Discs as said but

What are the smaller disc dimensions used with the Porsche Cayenne 6 pot caliper?
What is the minimum wheel size they fit under?

The bolt on setup with the HP2 struts uses a 330x32mm (I think) and fits under 17s.

Anyone used the bigger discs with the HP2's?

                        If so what was done.

Have you abandoned the ufo project? I just bought a nice urs4 this week that has skanky ufo discs, don't think my mot man is going to like the look of them.Craig (or anyone) have you got any decent used ones?
