    RS2 Front Discs

I need to get some new brake discs sometime soon. Cheapest option is to buy Porsche
    discs as follows;

    1994-911 C2 3.6 Turbo 322mmx32mmx77mm Rotors.
Cast vent holes, direct bolt on to RS2. One-piece rotor-45/mm "hat"
    1x 965-351-045-00
    1x 965-351-046-00

What I was wondering was, whether it was possible to get some discs like these with Al mounting bells etc to save a few kilos from each disc?

You could get some machined but I'd prefer to have steel myself, Ally is lighter but it's weaker and suffers from fatigue, they'd have to be designed by someone with knowledge in that area of expertese.

if they are suitably protected then I don't see the problem and as you say saves a fair bit of weight...

the discs used on the 993 twin turbo are two peice discs part numbers are 993-351-045-10 and 993-351-046-10 disc size is 322mm/32mm you would just need some bells made or found.

Brian Smith has some custom bells on his S2, might be worth asking him to see if they're ally or steel. I think he got them from Cory

oh my bells from corey are alloy. have been looking around at brakes and most bells i have seen online tend to be alloy. probably have some sort of hardening done to them though

If you make the bells from 2718 spec ally you'll be right, not cheap mind. I think Lee paid £180 for each bell, but they were massive (probably as big as a stock S2 disk)

I'd be happy with a pair of old bells from a set of OE 322mm RS2 discs. I've got new 993 rotors already, but need the bells to fit them to my RS2. Anyone have a pair collecting dust somewhere?

                    So.............im a bit lost.............

I dont know what is easy to fit.......or more to the point.......what i can be bothered to fit............

332x32 Big Red Discs (Standard Upgrade Audi Ones) MUST BE DRILLED (I will buy Big red Calipers also)

993 Turbo Drilled Discs (I guess I will buy 993 calipers also)

                    Or another option?

I must be able to run 17" Cup Wheels (Just incase I dont use the MTM 18" Cups for whatever reason)

I am bamboozled with different part numbers, can anyone help?

i run the custom bells from corey. they work well.
i run them with 993tt with GT2 6 pot monoblocks. custom brackets from corey.

the whole idea is to reduce the mass. thats why alloy. big discs are very heavy.

even with the 6 pot which is a lot bigger than rs2 they fit in a 2 piece bbs rim of 17"

Big Reds if you want it to run under 17" and off the shelf.

No need for custom parts from said companies

i have soem bbs rs2 2 piece 8x17 rims. the 6 pots clear by a rizla. i have since got some 18" bbs RC's a single piece rim id expect will have better clearence.

the discs get them from ECP. you can throw away the porsche bell that comes with them bout 115 each.
6pots. i got fronts and rears from a GT2. the yellow ones. paid 600 for the 4. they are not the cheapest but work very well.

its the size of the caliper thats close to the rim. its about 6-7 inches wide and about a foot long. same size as the 6 pot used on the toureg/q7/porsche cayenne but lighter and with different mounting points. also different pistons, maybe for the ceramic.
